Smashion: Fashion aid to Japan

While it may feel frivolous to shop for Japan, the fashion world has been giving consumers many ways to help. Because Japan is so very important to the fashion world it makes perfect sense that designers and companies would come forth holding sales, creating products that directly aid Japan’s tsunami. The sheer number of fashion sales are inspiring. Here are just a few:

Rag & Bone is donating 10% of online sales to the Red Cross for Japan. Wintercheck, whose fabrics come from Japan, will donate 40%. And last week Forever 21 donated 100% of it’s online sales to the red cross raising over 2 million in aid. To read more, click here.

Announced today, crocs is donating 100,000 pairs of shoes to Japan. The shoes will be distributed through organizations that are helping the hardest hit areas of Japan and it’s victims. Crocs has also made it easy for consumers like you to donate personally at any crocs retail store, or online at crocs.com.
