Smashion: The Day The Hipster Died

Dov Charney, CEO of American Apparel, has stated that “hipster is over.” Unfortunately, American Apparel may be next. WWD reports that “they may not have the liquidity to sustain operations for the next 12 months”.  The company is 91 million in debt and their stock is plummeting. I guess that’s what happens when you build a hipster brand … and then hipster dies.

    i took a beating on this stock… i never invest, and for some reason thought they could evolve into the next GAP. joke’s on me. it ain’t over yet though.
