Pet Airways, the new airline for pets, takes off on July 14. The company was founded by Alysa Binder and Dan Wiesel, after they flew their dog Zoe, and realized just how nasty the conditions are in cargo.
Similar to other airlines, Pet Airways features a lounge to wait in, a comfortable flight with attendants, and movies. Okay, no movies, but for owners who immediately feel separation anxiety they also feature a ‘track your pet’ service.
Pet Airways will fly your pet to Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, New York or Washington, D.C. for a one way fee of $250.
This idea is simultaneously awesome and absurd.
